Operations Manager / Senior System Administrator

Education:
This opportunity requires an AS/AA or a BS/BA degree or its equivalent along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in the web hosting industry.

Skills:
Mastery of RedHat Linux including daemons, such as Apache, ProFTPD, Exim, Bind, etc.
Previous experience with cPanel/WHM (Not required, but preferred)
Basic knowledge of Cisco IOS (Not required, but preferred)
Knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, the OSI reference model, routing, subnetting, and supernetting
Knowledge of the Domain Name System (DNS)
Knowledge of HTML and basic programming skills in at least one of the following: Bash shell, PHP or Perl
Ability to fully administer/diagnose/troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues

Details:
Will be responsible for administering multiple servers, including software upgrades and kernel recompiles as well as answering level 2 and 3 support requests. Responsibilities also include overseeing technical operations, implementing new strategies and working hand-in-hand with upper management.

The applicant must be capable of working under pressure and unsupervised.
